November...

Puzzle Kids

We have an activity closet with puzzles, musical instruments, games, magnet sets, playdough, coloring books and crayons, and other such activities. Whenever they are bored, they beg me to be able to get something out of the closet. In November, they went through a puzzle phase. They had them out a lot! Our kids love to do puzzles (except maybe Gracey). I thought these were fun pictures showing them staying busy.

Gracey, on the other hand, has been on a gymnastics kick. Ever since she watched gymnastics in the Olympics (this last summer), I think even before that, she has been tumbling and cartwheeling around the living room. She was really close to doing the splits earlier this year and has since worked to get more flexible. She can do both kinds of splits easily and really wants to be in gymnastics.

A Special Baptism

Right before Thanksgiving, Kayla and William, our niece and nephew, were able to be baptized. They had been looking forward to this for a long time. Gracey really likes to spend time with her cousin Kayla. It was a good opportunity for us to see family, especially Kayla and William and their family whom we hadn't seen for a long time (Spencer's brother Richard and his family). We were so priviledged to be there. They are two special children and we love them!!

Both Kayla and William with Grandpa Smyth...

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. We went to Spencer's parents home. All the kids had a lot of fun together, and I was glad they got the chance to play with cousins. We live too far away from each other! All of Spencer's siblings were there except for Richard and his family. We thought that was quite an accomplishment, because it had been such a long time since we had been together at Thanksgiving.
This was the turkey centerpiece that the kids helped put together. I thought it turned out really cute!
